Customers Needed Calculator
Work out how many customers you need to hit a monthly revenue target.
Your inputs
Customers needed is your revenue target divided by average revenue per customer — profit per customer is shown separately since a cheaper-to-serve customer isn't the same as a more valuable one.

About the Customers Needed Calculator
"How many customers do I need to make ₹1 lakh a month" is a question every small business owner, shop owner, or service provider eventually does the maths on scribbled on paper — this calculator does it properly and instantly, including the number that actually matters more than the customer count: your profit per customer.
Enter your monthly revenue target, your average revenue per customer, and what it costs you to acquire or serve one customer, and you'll get the exact number of customers needed per month, broken down into a weekly and daily target too — useful for setting a sales team's daily goal, or just sanity-checking whether a revenue target is realistic given your current customer flow. The profit-per-customer figure is deliberately kept separate from the customer count, because two customers generating the same revenue can have very different costs to serve — a useful reminder that hitting a customer-count target doesn't automatically mean hitting a profit target unless your cost per customer is also under control.
How to use this calculator
- Enter your monthly revenue target.
- Enter your average revenue per customer.
- Enter your cost to acquire or serve one customer.
- See customers needed per month, week, and day, plus profit per customer.
Frequently asked questions
›How many customers do I need to make 1 lakh a month?
Divide ₹1,00,000 by your average revenue per customer — for example, at ₹2,000 average revenue per customer, you'd need 50 customers a month, or roughly 12 a week.
›Kitne customers chahiye 1 lakh kamane ke liye, ye kaise pata karein?
Apna monthly target (₹1,00,000) ko average revenue per customer se divide karein — jitna zyada revenue per customer hoga, utne kam customers ki zaroorat padegi same target ke liye.
›Is a lower customer count always better?
Only if your profit per customer stays the same or improves — fewer, higher-value customers can be more profitable than many low-value ones, but only if your cost to acquire and serve each one doesn't rise to match.
›Does this account for customers who don't convert?
No — this calculates customers needed assuming they convert; if you're working from a sales funnel with a known conversion rate, apply that rate separately to size your lead/prospect target above this customer number.
